Date Cereal Bars

How handy are cereal bars? There’s nothing better then a grab and go snack at breakfast time.  Here’s how i make my date cereal bars. The dark chocolate is optional and the bars are delicious without it too.

Tamarind Chana Masala

Tamarind Chana Masala

How versatile are chickpeas?! You have to try this tamarind chana masala! How amazing do the colours look?

Yes, it’s been a while. Sorry! When i first started the ‘break’, it was because i wanted to focus on Ramadan. The end of Ramadan coincided with the kids breaking up for nursery. They have now been home a week and i haven’t really managed to sit down and write anything up. To be honest, last week was a really really hectic week and this week looks like it will be the same but i am hoping to get as many posts out as possible this week.

Chi Kitchen – Eid Menu

Chi Kitchen – Eid Menu

Yummy! The Chi Kitchen – Eid Menu in one word! We were invited to review the Eid menu for Chi Kitchen in Birmingham and we jumped at the chance. We went with high hopes, having heard so many glowing reviews of the restaurant and knowing that Ping Coombes (Masterchef winner 2014) was the executive/consultant chef. (Excited much?!) Chi offer a wide range of Thai, Chinese, Malaysian, Korean and Vietnamese food and i was intrigued by the Eid menu that had been provided for us before hand.
