3 Ingredient Peanut Butter Bars

Plus these bars are gluten free (double check the oats you use, Dairy free if you don’t use the chocolate chips or use a vegan variety and they have no refined sugar in them. The core ingredients in these bars are oats, honey and peanut butter but you can add chocolate chips and salt too.

These simple 3 Ingredient No Bake Peanut Butter Bars can be thrown together in minutes. I prefer to use natural.organic ingredients for these and the added bonus is that the kids love them. 

I usually heat the honey and stir the peanut butter in, then add the oats. I then press the mixture into a lined 9×9 tin and then pop it into the fridge where I store them.

You know I love granola and oat based things. I love to add chopped nuts, chocolate chips, seeds and dried fruit to mine. What do you like to add to yours? These ones just contain chocolate chips because sometimes simplicity is good but of course you can add anything you desire. You can also add nothing at all!

I am yet to have breakfast and its 11.30 am. I did have a detox tea but am not one of those people that can call any type of drink that doesn’t have anything substantial in it, a meal. Bananas, fruit and veg smoothies are fine but a detox tea or protein smoothie just does not cut it for me. So guys, I am off to make me a little something. I hope you enjoyed his recipe!

Cook Time 55 minutes
Total Time 1 hour

Ingredients

  • 315 grams Oats old fashioned/rolled
  • 340 grams Honey
  • 260 grams Peanut Butter
  • 1/4 tsp Salt Optional
  • 2 tbsp Chocolate Chips Optional

Instructions

  1. Line a 9x9 inch tin with greaseproof paper and lightly spray with cooking oil spray.

  2. In a small pan over medium/high heat, heat the honey till simmering.

  3. Stir in the peanut butter and salt if using. Remove from the heat and allow to cool a little, then stir in the oats.

  4. Press the mixture down into the tin and smooth down with the back of a spoon. 

  5. Sprinkle over the chocolate chips. 

  6. Pop into the fridge for an hour and chop into bars.
