These smoothie packs make the perfect on the go breakfast. They’re obviously healthy but also delicious and so easy to put together.

I really enjoy smoothies but I hate faffing about in the kitchen. The last thing I want to do first thing in the morning is start spinning around my tiny kitchen, gathering smoothie ingredients. Definitely not what I would choose to make on busy mornings. So I thought, what better way then to prepare these handy little smoothie bags that i can just drop into the blender with some milk and boom..done! I’ve seen them in Tescos freezer aisle before but have never brought them because erm..i can make them myself at home. (If you ever watched Goodness Gracious me, you know that asians say that kinda thing all the time!).5 make aheadFreezer Smoothie Packs for Meal Prep Day

How it works is you just add all the smoothie ingredients, minus the milk, to a resealable/ziplock freezer bag and then freeze. Well duh I hear you say. However my younger brother reads this and believe me, I have to explain. He made some fish from the blog the other day and sent me a picture…my first question ‘did you pat the fish dry like it said?’ His reply..’Erm..nope. It’s delicious though..’ Yes, but it is also swimming in water like Nemo. Actually what’s the point, clearly he doesn’t read and take action. Hmm..I hope he actually follows the instructions this time.

When you’re ready to prepare your smoothie, just empty the contents of your freezer bag into a blender and add the milk of your choice. I am currently obsessing over cashew milk.

The blender I use is this one and I cannot recommend it enough. Having tested several blenders, I can honestly say that this is one of the easiest, fuss free blenders ever and it is ridiculously affordable too.
