A refreshing avocado shake/smoothie makes the perfect start to the day. Avocados are incredibly nutritious and they contain Vitamin K, Folate, Vitamin C, Potassium, Vitamin B5, Vitamin B6, Vitamin E and small amounts of Magnesium, Manganese, Copper, Iron, Zinc, Phosphorous, Vitamin A, B1 (Thiamine), B2 (Riboflavin) and B3 (Niacin). They are also high in Potassium and Fibre. So yeah..pretty good stuff there. Just get some avocado in you!
My alarm is driving me bonkers this morning. I have switched it off several times but it’s like my phone just isn’t getting it. Never mind. I will have to get my husband to have a look at it. My daughter is ill and has caught this stomach virus thing that is going round. She practically slept all day yesterday and didn’t eat much. She did wake up during the night so I am like a walking zombie this morning. It’s so common for kids to get ill and it’s all part and parcel of being a parent but it takes a bit of getting used to.
Two more days until I begin the next stage of my course. As i said previously, I don’t know why i am so nervous. I met one of the students from the first stage of the course and she isn’t able to continue with it. I was gutted because she was the light and life of the group and the person I sat next to. It’s so weird that you can feel so close to someone within five days. The next stage covers anatomy and physiology, principles of tibb nutrition, energetics of food and drink, modern understanding of diet and nutrition – macro nutrients and medical terms and materia medica (the body of collected knowledge about the therapeutic properties of any substance used for healing e.g. medicine). I hope that I have the brain power to get through it!
