Skinny Rose Petal Mango Lassi with Pistachios and Cardamom
A delicious creamy skinny infused rose petal mango lassi with pistachios and cardamom. This mango lassi is a real favourite of ours, especially because it is much lighter then the usual calorie and sugar laden mango lassi.
There’s a new trend out at the moment and it is everywhere! The craze is for turmeric latte or golden milk. Turmeric also known as Arad/Haldi/Addar is well known for it’s anti inflammatory and antioxidant effects. However because it is difficult to absorb, it is advisable to have it with some black pepper too. Here I have made a healing turmeric tea.
I make this date, peanut butter and banana smoothie all the time. Why? Because It is energy boosting, filling and delicious. I add some full bananas in sometimes and more oats. This makes it a little thicker and i then eat it with a spoon.
Date, Peanut butter and banana smoothie
8 dates pitted
2 tbsp peanut butter
1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
500 ml milk
1 tbsp honey
In a blender, blend all the ingredients together and enjoy!
I have only starting making Nabeez recently after reading a lovely message about its benefits. This is a prophetic drink and as such i knew it would hold some benefit to me. However that didn’t mean i was looking forward to trying it! I imagined that it would be really ‘bitty’.
A refreshing avocado shake/smoothie makes the perfect start to the day. Avocados are incredibly nutritious and they contain Vitamin K, Folate, Vitamin C, Potassium, Vitamin B5, Vitamin B6, Vitamin E and small amounts of Magnesium, Manganese, Copper, Iron, Zinc, Phosphorous, Vitamin A, B1 (Thiamine), B2 (Riboflavin) and B3 (Niacin). They are also high in Potassium and Fibre. So yeah..pretty good stuff there. Just get some avocado in you! Read More
Aah it’s the stuff of dreams. Skinny and not so skinny gingerbread latte. The skinny still has all the flavour without the calories. Yes please! At this time of year, having a hot drink at all times is essential. It’s a rule. A law in my house. Ok I wish it was. By the way, the skinny bit here is IF you use a non dairy milk and skip the whipped cream, gingerbread and sugar!
Hello guys! How are we all on this bright and breezy morning? I’m good but in desperate need of something to get rid of this headache. I don’t do pills so that’s out of the question. At times like this, I wish i had some almond milk and chocolate almond milk in the house. The reason being that when i have too much dairy, it really affects me. Last week, I went a little overboard with my dairy consumption and felt it pretty quickly! The thing about almond milk is, it’s easy peasy to make but you gotta have time. You aren’t going to be making it and drinking it within the same day. I am going to be honest, it took me a while to get used to almond milk but had on heart, home made is SO much better then store brought.
Tis the season for smores hot chocolate, warm fires, loadsa lights, cosy knits, roast meals and merriment. When I think of hot chocolate, camp fires come to mind. I love camping and I can’t wait to go again. I think that when you go once and realise that it isn’t as dirty and scary as you had imagined, its becomes something to really look forward to. We went with the kids when they were a bit younger and they still go on about it. I would have thought they would have forgotten by now but nope!
I love a good spiced pumpkin latte or any latte that isn’t strong on the coffee front. I don’t like bitter coffee, that’s for sure. I feel like my teeth are going to drop out and go off for a walk when I accidentally take a sip of a black coffee.
On a hot, humid and sticky summer day, there is no drink that is more refreshing then a lemonade. For me any variety of lemonade will do because i love anything lemony. However this rosemary lemonade is my fave. It is such a delicious thirst quencher and it takes a drink that we all know to another level.
