Indian Curry Base Recipe (for a Week or to Freeze)
Indian Curry Base Recipe (for a Week or to Freeze) – Traditional Indian cooking can be time consuming. This pre cooked indian curry base recipe saves heaps of time because you aren’t waiting on onions to brown or spices to cook, its all done in one go and then used throughout the week or straight from the freezer. Its kinda like Indian meal prep and it is so so handy.

Herb butters are one of my favourite things ever. Simply because when you have an excess of herbs and you need to preserve them, this is one of the perfect solutions.
Homemade Jerk Seasoning
OK let’s talk about homemade jerk seasoning. I love jerk chicken with rice and peas but when I last made it, my picture was a DISASTER bruv. An updated pic will be coming soon.
Homemade Curry Powder
Another addition to the home made spice mixes! Woo. Homemade curry powder is something of a new thing to me. I probably first made it a few months ago. Again it is inexpensive and very easy to put together.
Homemade Garam Masala Powder
Homemade garam masala powder – the easy way. I say the easy way because I have ground the whole spices by hand in the past. It was not fun and it took FOREVER. It is inexpensive. Some people rarely use it. I am some people. When I use it, I use a little towards the end of cooking because I find that it can sometimes overpower a dish completely.
Homemade Cajun Seasoning
Who doesn’t love cajun anything? Cajun chicken for example is delicious. That is why homemade cajun seasoning is so awesome. It is seasoning/spice blend that you will use over and over again.
I absolutely love dukkah. It is just the most delicious spice mix. It is toasty, spicy, warm, comforting, nutty, crunchy, flavourful and totally addictive. So, so addictive.
You know when it comes to Autumn and Pinterest is FULL of pumpkin related recipes but the shelves in the supermarket have no pumpkin puree on them? Tell me that has happened to you too? OK..just me. So for the last couple of years, I have been making my own pumpkin puree! I use it for recipes like this Crustless Pumpkin Pie.
This Apple Sauce recipe is made for similar reasons to this pumpkin puree recipe. Come Autumn the news feed is full of apple based bakes and cakes and I am yet to find apple puree in my supermarket. I am told it is next to the baby food which is an aisle I always forget to go down.
Fruit, Ginger and Nut Granola
I love granola. This fruit, ginger and nut granola is absolutely delicious and so filling. After I had my son, I ate a lot of granola. I also ate copious amounts of chicken soup and sometimes toast. I didn’t really eat much else in those first 2 months after the birth. Mainly because my gran in law was always watching (she is a g and i’m a little bit scared of her) and she has her own theories on what a new mother should or should not eat.
