Chicken and Oat Soup – Shorba
Chicken and Oat Soup – Shorba. A gorgeously fragrant and filling soup. Also, one of my fave soups.
I’m on a roll today! Putting posts out like there’s no tomorrow bruv. I sometimes find that I really hold my personality and sense of humour back on social media in order to not offend anybody. How long can I hold my personality back though? That is the question.
Sometimes I’m bursting to crack a joke (eww that made me sound a hundred years old) but I stop myself because I am too busy thinking about how it will be taken. Why do I self censor so much? I guess because sometimes i can go too far and be totally inappropriate. Apparently it’s an anxiety thing. Yes, I totally blamed that. There has to be some benefit. I’m kidding. Please don’t hate me. OMG i’m doing it again. I am people pleasing because I don’t know if people understand me enough yet, to get that i’m just really weird and my humour can be a little strange. Sometimes though you can’t win. Someone is always offended on social media. That is why people go through tonnes of popcorn whilst reading the comments section on ANY post nowadays.
In this day and age and if we are talking totally first world problems, there is nothing worse then bad internet service. Actually I have found something worse. My dumb charger won’t charge my phone and I have no chance of getting a new charger today. So my phone has been plugged in since 8am and is charged 2%. Sore neck alert. Can’t touch my phone alert. I hate wires alert. I know I sound like a toddler. Yesterday I was all like, ‘oh gosh, you know it’s a welcome break from using my phone and actually it has done me the world of good’. Today I am ready to rip my hair out.
I promise from tomorrow, we are only going to talk about the food and happy things. Deal.
