Cleansing Benotine Clay Mask

I have very recently started to use a cleansing benotine clay mask. I generally put it on my face first thing in the morning and just go about my day forgetting I have it on until I scare the life out of myself when I walk past the mirror.

Cleansing Benotine Clay Mask

Benotine is a healing clay derived from the ash made from volcanoes and provides a deep cleanse to the body. It is particularly important for us to detox our bodies in this day and age where we are surrounded by toxins in so many every day items such as cleaning products, unpurified water etc etc. Benotine helps to draw out such toxins from the body by binding to the toxin and staying with it till it is drawn out.

Benotine clay also includes many nutrients such as magnesium, calcium, potassium and the clay can also be ingested by either drinking or eating it. It can also be taken in supplement form.

So of its many uses, it is particularly good for treating eczema, dermatitis and psoriasis. Simply combining it with water and applying it to the skin helps to reduce the speed at which wounds are healed. Amongst other benefits, it is also great for digestion, healthy teeth and gums and is alkalising. I have mentioned in previous posts, the importance of keeping the body more alkaline because there are many issues associated with too much acid in the body. More on that here

To ingest the clay, you can dissolve 1/2 teaspoon of the clay in a glass of water and drink immediately. You can also use it in a bath by adding approximately 2 tablespoons of the clay in bath water. However it is not recommended that pregnant/breastfeeding women or children use it.

This is the one i use. You can also mix it with Apple Cider Vinegar instead of the recipe below which asks for water and honey  but the vinegar is more harsh then water on the skin and therefore not recommended for sensitive skin.
