Date, Matcha and Cacao Energy Balls
Date, Matcha and Cacao Energy Balls – AKA the best energy balls you will ever have. Caramel sweet dates combine with Cacao and Matcha to make a toffee like healthy snack that is seriously so good. Even my kids can’t keep their hands off these sweet treats.
I have made these a lot. For a variety of people of all ages. They confirmed what I already knew. These are the best energy balls ever. I have yet to taste better. I am looking forward to adding more energy balls to the blog soon because I am experimenting with so many amazing fun flavours and they are the best. Also so handy. These tiny treats are good to have around, any time you are likely to get an energy slump. For example..
When you go for a walk/run
At the Gym
The delight that is the School Run
Kids getting too much etc etc.
You get the gist. I just know that you will definitely like them and will want more then one. I also know that about 1.5 of them will be enough to stop the ‘shakes’ and give you the hit of energy you need to carry on. They will satisfy you. I promise.
These Date, Matcha and Cacao energy balls are very very VERY easy to make. They are just the perfect amount of chewy and salty-sweet. More importantly, they are soft and delicious to eat.
Also, if you are into these types of healthy snacks then you will find that the ingredients are so very basic and you will probably have them in your store cupboard already.
In essence these are naturally sweet chocolate truffles. They are totally adorable and the perfect after dinner bite sized treat. All the ingredients in these little cuties (OMG did I just say that?) are healthy and will obviously make you glow from the inside immediately.
I started eating these a lot when I cut out refined sugar. Shall we talk about the awesomeness that are dates? Aren’t they just the best and so versatile? We knew about them so long ago though right? Before all the raw desserts and snack bars and energy balls. Did you catch my date roundup last year? I updated it recently and I think you will love it.
Oh and by the way, this is how simple they are to make..Process ingredients, roll into balls, top with ingredients you like.
And just so you know, my husband loves these and so do his friends! So they are totally ok to make for men too. They will only pretend they don’t do this type of healthy processed date thing for like 2 minutes. Then they will just gobble them all up.
You know what else these are really good for? Sehri/Suhoor (Pre Dawn Meal) during Ramdan. Some of us cannot do elaborate breakfasts in Ramadan. Myself included. I would much rather pop one of these in my mouth instead. Ok..maybe 2.
Oh and btw they are freezer friendly too. You’re welcome. High five honey.
