Dragon Fruit Smoothie Bowl
A bright ‘pick me up’ dragon fruit smoothie bowl that is quick and easy to put together and so delicious!
This smoothie bowl trend just isn’t going anywhere and that is GRRRREAT for me because I just love it. Plus there are like a million variations to try so ya know it’s fun and variety is the spice of life and all that jazz.
When i first made this smoothie bowl I was like woah oh no this might be too much, too garish, too in your face. Then I thought.. and? I like it. It stands out. It quite possibly glows in the dark. (It doesn’t. I have used natural colourings here!). I am sure people will appreciate it. Plus I love dragon fruit. I love the colour of it for one. A completely natural fuchsia in nature? Wow just wow. The creation of the Almighty never ceases to amaze me.
It is almost coming to the time where I have to get some homework in for my course. What a mission. It also means that I am reading a lot about the healing properties of various herbs, plants, fruits and veg in nature. I will never know enough about it. It fascinates me and always will.
Some of the benefits dragon fruit include that it is jam packed with vitamin c (More then a carrot!) which is great for the immune system. It is also high in antioxidants which keep you looking young and contains vitamins B1, B2, B3, Calcium, Phosphorus and Iron. It is a great digestive aid and helps to maintain normal blood sugar. The black seeds contain Omega 3 and 6.
I understand that it is expensive to buy in the Uk and therefore people including myself rarely purchase it or consume it. So it should totally be treated as a one off for treat day. Pah who needs popcorn anyway! Just kidding. Popcorn is life. I don’t know why people say things like that but I was feeling left out so yeah popcorn is life..ok?
