Homemade Curry Powder

Another addition to the home made spice mixes! Woo. Homemade curry powder is something of a new thing to me. I probably first made it a few months ago. Again it is inexpensive and very easy to put together.

Last night I watched the BBC documentary/drama about Shannon Matthews. Firstly I am surprised that they actually put it out in the first place. Anyway, I wanted to remind myself about the story so I asked uncle google and it all came flooding back. It was the girl who was kidnapped by her own mother in Dewsbury, (Seriously SMH) and then found not far from home. In Batley. Her mum did it in the hopes that they would then ‘find’ her and get the £20 or £50k (I am unsure what the exact figure was) on offer for her return. Ok, I understand that people sometimes live in very difficult situations (financially), sometimes there are mental health issues too (depression/anxiety that sort of thing) but even with all that I wonder how a mother could do what she did. I am just glad that Shannon came out of it OK considering she was found drugged in the base of a divan bed.

The acting was spot on. I cannot deal with bad acting by the way..I can’t watch. That’s why i cannot understand the Brad Pitt hype..In my eyes, he cannot act.

We first lived in Batley when we got married. I actually love Batley. Mainly because my gran in law lives there and I love to her bits. Also because, it is really chilled. Lastly because it is still close enough to big cities if you need to escape for the day. When I lives there though, I just felt trapped. I had come from a life of independence, I was ALWAYS out. After marriage, I felt alone. My husband worked really long hours and I didn’t really know anyone in Batley. Then one day, I  thought, I can either sit around and mope until I find company or get out of the house. I got out of the house every day after that.

Gosh i really veer off point in my posts huh?! Anyway here is that Homemade Curry Powder recipe.
