Homemade Garam Masala Powder
Homemade garam masala powder – the easy way. I say the easy way because I have ground the whole spices by hand in the past. It was not fun and it took FOREVER. It is inexpensive. Some people rarely use it. I am some people. When I use it, I use a little towards the end of cooking because I find that it can sometimes overpower a dish completely.
My daughter is still sick and I am waiting to see how my son is this morning. Her ear is still bothering her. I hope she stays still long enough for me to be able to put some olive oil and garlic in her ear later today. I very much doubt it though. I am so sleep deprived that I want to both fall asleep and laugh my head off at the same time. LOLS. Yes I know no one says that anymore but I do.
I am currently thinking about what to have for breakfast. Seriously I cannot think about moving right now so it has to be quick and easy. I am just having a herbal tea for now. I never thought I would be the type to drink herbal teas. I thought they were for really calm/collected people but actually they make me feel calm and collected when I feel a little erratic.
Tomorrow marks two years since my father in law passed away. It’s strange that it still feels like it wasn’t that long ago. We still talk about him all the time and even my daughter who was 1 at the time (almost 2), still talks about him. Such is the stamp he left on peoples hearts. My Mother in Law is actually in Makkah at the moment and I am happy that she is there on the anniversary of my pops passing. The place of peace.
