The Muslim Lifestyle Expo 2016 Highlights! YAY! Did you go?

We were invited to go along to the Muslim Lifestyle Exhibition in Manchester on 29th/30th October as official bloggers for the show. We decided to opt out of the meet an greet and having our picture in the official bloggers lineup because as my regular readers know, I am on the road to recovery from a terrible experience with anxiety. I didn’t want to take ten steps backwards on my journey! Luckily, MLE were understanding and extremely accommodating, even attending to messages on the day of the event so our day would run smoothly.

With so many well know brands/names like Siddiqa Juma (Legend), Nabilla Bee, Zukreat, Guz Khan and Khalid Sideeq attending, it was the event everyone was talking about.

Overall the event completely exceeded our expectations. They had covered all bases!

It was held at Event City. This was an ideal location because it is across the road from the Trafford Centre. Having lived in Manchester as a student, I am aware that there are good transport links between the city centre and Trafford Centre. We used to get the 250 bus from the Arndale. I wonder if it is still the same number bus?  Anyway because it was just across the road,  you could just hop to the Trafford Centre and do a little shopping after the event!

The venue had parking and an overflow carpark with clear signage and staff in the carpark to assist where assistance was required. From the overflow carpark, there was a very short walk to the venue.

I feel like I always have to mention the toilets when I talk about events. Sorry! The toilets were central, easy to access and most importantly clean!

There was good disabled/pram access into the venue and generally there was enough space inside the venue to manoeuvre around.

There was also a great chill out area that was fit for purpose and really handy when it all got a little too much. It was HEAVING and a little breather was much needed every now and then!

Food wise, there was one main vendor – My Lahore. The food was delicious and there was enough seating available for people to sit comfortably.

One of the most well thought out areas was the play area which included a giant slide and bumper cars in addition to the mini golf course near the entrance of the venue. My kids immediately made a beeline for the play area and I’m kinda glad, because they got it out of their systems early on!
