Copycat Gingerbread Latte

This Copycat Gingerbread Latte is is the perfect cosy homemade drink for this season. The combination of warm spices like ginger, nutmeg and molasses screams Autumn!

Ingredients

  • 375 ml Milk I used Oatly Barista
  • 1 tbsp Molasses I used Meridian Blackstrap
  • 1 tbsp Maple Syrup
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Ginger
  • 1/4 tsp Cloves
  • 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
  • 200 ml Brewed Coffee

Instructions

  1. Add the milk to a pot on medium heat.

  2. Meanwhile mix the molasses and maple syrup together in a small bowl. Add to the milk along with the vanilla, cinnamon, ginger, cloves and nutmeg and whisk together. 

  3. When the milk begins to simmer, reduce heat to low and stir through coffee. 

  4. Once foaming, remove from heat and pour into mugs. Dust with cinnamon and serve with whipped cream and gingerbread.

Recipe Notes

I make dairy free whipped cream by putting a tin of coconut milk into the fridge overnight. In the morning i remove the cream part off the top and whip using a blender. I also add vanilla to it. 

If you can't find blackstrap molasses, you can use honey or extra maple syrup.

You can use any milk to make this latte!
