Cardamom and Cinnamon Waffles with Blood Orange Yoghurt
Starting my mornings with these Cardamom and Cinnamon Waffles with Blood Orange Yoghurt is my idea of the perfect start to the day. These are wholesome, healthy and delicious.
Whisk the buttermilk, melted butter and eggs in a bowl.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, cardamom and sugar.
Combine the wet ingredients with the dry and allow the batter to sit for 10 minutes.
Pour batter onto the heated waffle iron and close the lid. Don't over fill!
Once the waffle is deeply golden and crisp, transfer it to a cooling rack. This varies depending on your waffle iron. Mine took around 2 minutes each side.
Repeat with remaining batter. Serve waffles with maple syrup, oragged and yoghurt.
