    How to make perfectly seasoned, crispy and delicious Air fryer Asparagus aka the perfect side to most meals in under 10 minutes.

    Air fryer Asparagus

    This is a side that goes well with so many dishes but is equally as delicious eaten on it's own. It is a simple recipe and using an air fryer makes it super convenient too. 

    Roast Asparagus is the perfect side dish for Spring and making it in an airfare means you won't need to worry about having stove top or oven space so can continue cooking your mains undisturbed. 

    This is the Air Fryer we use and I could not recommend it enough. It makes life so much easier!

    Asparagus made in an air fryer always comes out crispy on the ends and tender in the middle. 

    Ingredients for Air Fryer Asparagus

    Air Fryer Asparagus requires very few ingredients and is easily adaptable too:

    • Seasoning 
    • Olive Oil
    • Lemon Juice 
    • Butter & Garlic & Dry Parsley - This is added as a butter over the top. You get all the delicious flavour and no chance of burnt garlic.stop the Garlic from burning.

    How to trim Asparagus

    You have 2 options here:

    • You can snap the bottom off - it will break off naturally if it is fresh.
    • Trim off the woody stem at the bottom - about 2 inches. 

    How to Make Air Fryer Asparagus

    (The short version - full recipe is at the bottom of the page)

    1. Wash Asparagus and trim the ends
    2. Season with plenty of Salt and Pepper. 
    3. Spray or drizzle over some oil.
    4. Place the Asparagus in the Air Fryer Basket in one layer.
    5. Make a Garlic Butter (Optional Step).
    6. Set your air fryer to 200 C or 400℉ and cook for 7 - 8 minutes.  
    7. Drizzle over Garlic Butter and add some Lemon Juice.

    More Seasoning Ideas

    • Place the Asparagus in the air fryer basket and sprinkle over some grated parmesan cheese  just before air frying.
    • Sprinkle over some Chilli Flakes.
    • Add toasted Pine Nuts or Flaked Almonds on top.
    • Add a drizzle of balsamic dressing.
    • Serve with chopped parsley or mint leaves.
    • Add a sprinkling of Panko Breadcrumbs for added crunch.

    Storage for Air Fryer Asparagus

    This Asparagus keeps well in the fridge in an airtight container for up to a week. It can also be frozen and reheated in the air fryer.

    Mediterranean Chicken Tray Bake with Potatoes, Olives, Pepper and Feta

    Roast Vegetables with Feta and Pine Nuts

    Salmon and Vegetable Traybake with Coconut Rice

    Oven Baked Salmon

    Chicken Orzo

    Ingredients

    Asparagus

    • 200 g Asparagus
    • Salt and Pepper
    • 1 ½ tbsp Olive Oil

    Garlic Butter (Optional)

    • 50 g Butter Salted
    • 1 Garlic Clove Crushed or clived finely
    • ¼ tsp Dry Parsley

    Optional Extra

    • ½ - 1 Lemon Juice and Zest

    Instructions

    1. Wash Asparagus and trim the ends. Season with plenty of Salt and Pepper. Drizzle over oil.

    2. Place the Asparagus in the Air Fryer Basket in one layer. Set your air fryer to 200 C or 400℉ and cook for 7 - 8 minutes.

    3. Make a Garlic Butter by warming the ingredients under garlic butter, in a pan until just combined. (Optional Step).

    4. Drizzle over Garlic Butter and add some Lemon Juice.
