How to start going inwards – 7 ways
There are many things that can stop us from feeling safe/ready/able enough to go inwards. I have experienced some of this recently because I have felt so overwhelmed with things going on around me. Here are some ways in which I remind myself to go inwards when I feel a little bit all over the place:
Connect to your Breath – Take deep breaths and try and make the out breath slightly longer then the intake. If this is all you can mange, it is incredibly powerful to just do this.
Connect with Nature – Walking amongst the trees is one of my absolute favourite things to do. It instantly helps me to get out of my own head and connect better with myself.
Remember.. you are your own best friend. It is only when you turn inwards, that you can get a true sense of who you are outside of all the hubbub of activity out there. Find your voice, then live who you are. Fall back in harmony with yourself so that you can hold yourself though life challenges. Set up a home inside you, a retreat. A place you can go to when you feel overwhelmed. Nourish your roots and growth will follow iA. x
