I like to serve the salad immediately but it is actually fine to serve it up to a couple of hours after it has been assembled. The flavours are just more pronounced.
Salad Dressing
If you prefer the salad to be perfectly crisp, add the dressing just before serving.
Tomatoes
If you have very juicy tomatoes, drain in a colander before using.
Herbs
Add more fresh herbs if you like such as coriander and tarragon.
Varations in Persian Shirazi Salad
Add fresh HerbsStir in some Fresh Parsley or chopped Fresh Dill Leaves as I often do in this healthy salad.
Sumac
Sumac adds a tangy flavour to this recipe. I add it occassionally for an even more obvious Citrus hit.
