Easy Biscoff Overnight Oats - These Easy Biscoff overnight oats are made with Oats, Milk, Biscoff, Cinnamon, Light Brown Sugar and Chia Seeds. They make for the best make ahead breakfast that is creamy, healthy-ish and seriously quick and easy to prep.

Ingredients
  

  • 40 g Rolled Oats ½ cup Oats
  • 1 tbsp Chia Seeds
  • 1 - 2 tbsp Light Brown Sugar or Honey
  • 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 190 g Milk ¾ cup Milk
  • 2 tbsp Biscoff Spread Melted in the microwave or use Peanut or Almond Butter
  • 2 Biscoff Biscuits Crushed, Optional

Instructions
 

  • Mix the Oats, Chia Seeds, Sugar and Cinnamon in a large cup. Pour in the milk and add 1 tbsp Biscoff. Then mix together.
  • Spoon remaining Biscoff Spread onto prepared oats. 
  • Crumble a Biscoff cookie around the edges. 
  • Then put back in fridge overnight to set. Give them a stir in the morning before eating.

Notes

Overnight Oats Ratio - Overnight Oats Consistency

The consistency and therefore ratio is up to you. I like them to be a little thick but not liquid like. This recipe uses a ratio of 1:1 of Oats to Liquid. 

How Long does it take for overnight oats to be ready?

Overnight Oats don’t actually need to be soaked overnight. They can be made in 2-4 hours but are best soaked for at least 8 hours. They won’t be as soft after a shorter soak but will taste just as good.

Can overnight oats be heated?

Yes you can. Just pop them in the microwave and warm in 10 second bursts. 

Tips for Making the Best Biscoff Cookie Butter Overnight Oats

Make overnight oats in a container that closes and has a seal like a mason jar.
Multiply the recipe and make enough or meal prep for 5 days.

Overnight oats are full of fibre and are healthy and nutritious. They are healthy to eat eery day as part of a balanced diet.

There are many options for storing and making Biscoff overnight oats:

Mason Jars

These are a great option if you have them because you simply flip the lid and close them for the night.

Cup

A bowl or cup covered in cling oil or with a saucer.

Tupperware

These are great for grabbing before you leave the house on a busy morning.

Storage

Fridge  - Overnight Oats keep well in an airtight container for up to 5 days.

Variations

The great thing about overnight oats is that the are easily adaptable. They can be made vegan and gluten free quite easily too. 
  • Make it Vegan - Use a plant based milk and use Stevia, Light Brown Sugar or Honey as your sweetener.
  • Make it Gluten-free - Use gluten free Oats.
  • Fruit -Add fresh berries or bananas to the top of the oats. Bananas work very well.
  • Nut Butter - Add a dollop of peanut butter or almond butter instead of the Biscoff.
  • Nutella - Add Nutella instead for a chocolate version.
  • Cereal - Add granola or cereal to the top for some crunch.
  • Nuts and seeds – Add some chopped nuts such as peanuts, almonds, pecans, walnuts, or seeds such as sunflower seeds.
  • Chocolate Chips - Add a handful of chocolate chips for a scrumptious variation.
  • Greek Yoghurt - May recipe ask for Greek yogurt. Add a spoonful for added protein or add 1/4 mashed Banana.
