10 minute Blackened Shrimp Tacos - These easy Tacos loaded with delicious Blackened Shrimp make the most perfect weeknight meal.The shrimp in this recipe is tossed with smoky herbs and spices, before being pan seared at a high heat.
To make the seasoning combine Cayenne Pepper, Smoked Paprika, Cumin Powder, Dry Oregano, Dry Thyme, Garlic Granules, Onion Powder, Sugar, Salt and Pepper in a bowl and whisk to combine.
Add to the Shrimp and coat thoroughly with your hands.
Heat a pan over medium high heat.
Add Oil. Add Shrimp. Cook for 1 - 2 minutes and then flip. Cook for 30 seconds and remove from pan.
Heat the Wraps/Tacos.
Add filling of your choice and top with Shrimp.

It is really easy to overcook shrimp. Here are 2 ways to know when the shrimp is ready:Colour - The colour changes from grey to pink.Size and Shape - The Shrimp will shrink and become more closed into a tight c/o shape.

Storage
You can store leftover Shrimp/Prawns in the following ways:
Fridge
Allow the Shrimp to cool then pop in an airtight container and store in the fridge for 3-4 days.
Freezer
Allow the shrimp to cool then place it in an airtight container and freeze for up to 6 months.Thaw in the fridge overnight before reheating.
To Reheat
Once thawed, add Oil to a pan and simply warm up till the Shrimp feels warm. This shouldn't take long.
