How to make the Kardashian viral Salad - Copycat La Scala Salad - Today we have a viral recipe for the famous La Scala Salad recipe which is a really simple chopped recipe that requires very little work to put together. You only need 5 minutes to make it! This is yet another copycat recipe that is enjoyed by the Kardashains..apparently. It is great for a light lunch, quick dinner or as an appetiser/starter to any meal.
¼cupParmesanOr Pecorino, Grated or Shaved (plus extra for serving)
Instructions
Add Lettuce, Chickpeas, Red Onion, Salami, and Mozzarella to a large bowl.
Combine Olive Oil, Red Wine Vinegar, Mustard, Salt, and Black Pepper in a small bowl and whisk together till combined. Taste and adjust seasoning. Stir in some the Parmesan.
Pour the dressing over the salad. Toss together to combine.
Garnish with extra Parmesan Cheese and serve.

Veg Add other vegetables such as bell pepper, fresh cherry tomatoes, Sun-Dried Tomatoes or Peppers or even Olives.SpiceAdd some Spice to the dressing such as pinch of Chilli Flakes or Smoked Paprika.HerbsAdd some Herbs to the dressing such as dry Parsley, Thyme or Oregano.Nuts and SeedsServe with a sprinkling of Nuts such as chopped Walnuts or Seeds such as Sunflower Seeds.BeansAdd Beans to the recipes such as White Beans or Black Beans to make it more substantial.Cooked ChickpeasI know that this Salad is meant to be a cold chopped salad but I’ve tried it this way and it is so good!Simply heat 50 ml Olive Oil in a pan over medium-high heat.Add the chickpeas, 1 clove sliced Garlic, a pinch of Smoked Paprika, a pinch of Cumin Powder and a sprinkling of Red Chilli Flakes. Season with Salt and Pepper and cook until golden brown. This will take 10 - 15 minutes.You can take a short cut by cooking them in Smoky or Rose Harissa instead.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1-2 days.
How to make ahead
To make it in advance, chop the salad leaves and salami and store separately in small airtight containers. Make the dressing in advance and store in a separate container. Store for up to 3 days.I wouldn’t recommend chopping or shredding the Mozzarella in advance.
