Pro Tips & Variations
Keep it Crunchy: Add the cornflake or feuilletine topping right before serving to keep that irresistible texture.
Flavour Twist: Add a shot of espresso to the chocolate milk soak for a mocha-inspired version.
Gingerbread Swap: Use Biscoff spread instead of chocolate for a rich gingerbread/caramel flavour.
Nutty Crunch: Add roasted nuts or pretzels for extra texture - think, Snickers vibes!
Alternative toppings - Swap cornflakes for cocoa pops, rice puffs, or even crushed biscuits if you prefer.
Add a drizzle - Add a drizzle of caramel or chocolate sauce on top
Make Ahead
Make Ahead - Assemble the base, soak, and cream layers the night before; add the chocolate and topping before serving. Storage (Fridge) - This cake keeps well in the fridge for up to 3 days, though it rarely lasts that long!
