I can’t begin to tell you how much I love Prawns. Not only are they delicious and juicy when cooked right but they also take on flavour so beautifully which makes them perfect for a curry.
how to make prawn curry recipe
Heat oil and add Onions. Cook for 10 - 15 minutes till golden brown.
Add Ginger, Garlic and Green Chilli and cook for 1 - 2 minutes.
Stir in Tomatoes and Tomato Puree. Cover and cook on low for 10 minutes.
Add ground spices with a little water. Cook for 5 minutes on medium low.
Add Prawns and cook for 3 - 4 minutes. You may need to cook them a little longer, depending on the prawns you are using.

Fridge - Prawn recipes are best eaten fresh. At a push, they can be kept in an airtight container in the fridge for a day or two.
Reheating Prawns - If you need to reheat leftovers. you can add a splash of water to a pan and reheat them slowly until warmed through. You can reheat them in the microwave too.
Freezer - I would not recommend freezing cooked prawns.

- Prawns require very little cooking. Over cooking makes them rubbery and tough.
- A squeeze of Lemon Juice before serving helps to bring the flavours together.

Ingredients
- 3 tbsp Oil Veg or Sunflower
- 1 Onion Diced
- 1 tbsp Ginger Paste
- 1 ½ tbsp Garlic Paste
- 1 tsp Green Chilli Paste
- 200 g Tomatoes Pureed, tinned or fresh
- 2 tbsp Tomato Puree
- 1 ½ tsp Coriander Powder
- 1 ½ tsp Cumin Powder
- ½ tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
- 1 tsp Garam Masala Powder
- 1 tsp Madras Curry Powder Optional
- 2 tbsp Water
- 200 g King Prawns Cleaned and Deveined
