The ingredients in this recipe are:
Salmon
Red Onions
Pomegranate
Orange
Pomegranate Molasses
Garlic Cloves
Brown Sugar
Red Chilli Flakes
Ground Cumin/Coriander
Salt and Pepper
If you don't have pomegranate molasses, use tamarind paste. If you don't like the idea of oranges, use lemons. If you don't have brown sugar use maple syrup. If you prefer, use honey but add it after the salmon is baked.
How long can you marinate salmon?
Marinate for no longer than 30 minutes. I wouldn't recommend longer and I don't think Salmon needs a long marinade either.

Salmon is healthy and versatile, and is quick to make and evidently i can't stop making it recently! It has become such a regular in our home, and I rarely made salmon before!

How to make Molasses and Orange Salmon
The method used in this recipe requires very little hands on time. It is as simple as marinading the salmon and oven roasting it.
Orange and Pomegranate Salmon
Ingredients
- 4 Salmon Fillets
Marinade
- 4 Garlic Cloves crushed
- 3 tablespoon Pomegranate Molasses
- 2 teaspoon Light Brown Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Red Chilli Flakes
- 1 Orange juice
- Salt and Pepper
Other
- 1 Orange sliced
- 1 Red Onion sliced
Instructions
- Preheat oven to Gas Mark 6, 200 °C.
- Whisk the ingredients for the marinade together in a small bowl, then baste over the salmon.
- Scatter the sliced oranges and red onions onto a oven tray. Add the marinaded salmon and marinade over the top.
- Bake in the oven for 10 - 15 minutes or until cooked through.
