What Is Iffa Chicken?
Iffa Chicken is a creamy, spicy chicken dish that has become increasingly popular across Dubai's restaurant and food scene.
Chicken is marinated in yoghurt, garlic, chillies and spices before being cooked until smoky and tender. It's then coated in a rich sauce made with yoghurt, cream, mayonnaise, cheese and egg whites.
The combination of bold spices and creamy sauce has helped make it a social media favourite, with countless home cooks recreating their own versions.
While its exact origins aren't widely documented, it is most commonly associated with modern Dubai restaurant cooking and contemporary South Asian-inspired flavours.
Why Has Iffa Chicken Become So Popular?
Over the last few years, Iffa Chicken has become one of the most talked-about chicken dishes to come out of Dubai's restaurant scene.
Unlike many grilled chicken recipes that rely solely on a marinade, Iffa Chicken gets a second layer of flavour from its signature creamy finishing sauce.
The result is rich, comforting and incredibly moreish. It delivers the smoky flavour people love from grilled chicken while adding a luxurious creamy finish that sets it apart.
Why This Boneless Version Works So Well
Traditional versions are often made using chicken on the bone, but boneless chicken offers a number of advantages.
It cooks more quickly, absorbs the marinade evenly and makes serving much easier. Every piece becomes coated in the creamy sauce, creating a dish that feels more like a rich chicken curry than a grilled chicken recipe.
It's also perfect for weeknight cooking, meal prep and family dinners.
