    Easy Indian Chicken Salad Wrap

These Chicken wraps are easy to make and so delicious.

Making a few extra wraps makes sense, so that you can have them over 2-3 days and don’t have to worry about cooking.

They are ideal for picnics, parties and a speedy lunch for the kids.

They can be made ahead too! Either the entire wrap or just the filling.

Just keep them in the fridge until you are ready to eat them.

If like me, you don’t always have time to measure, feel free to just add ingredients by eye and taste as you go along.

Use your favourite accompaniments and vary as you like. More on that below.

    Variations

This recipe is very easily adaptable. Here are some ideas:

    Mayonnaise

You can use a lighter variety or Sour Cream/Cream Cheese instead.

    Sandwich

This filling would work perfectly well as a sandwich instead.

    Lettuce Wraps

Use lettuce as wraps instead for a healthier alternative.

    Herbs

Use your favourite Herbs. Oregano, Tarragon, Thyme, Chives or Parsley would all be great here.

    Spices

Feel free to add any spice you like or even use a ready made powder/paste.

    Sauces

Hot Sauce, Chutney, Naga Sauce - Use whatever you like.

    Veggies

Add some Corn, Spring Onion, Cucumber, Avocado, Red Peppers.

    Tips to make this recipe

    Chicken

Make sure the Chicken is completely cool before mixing it with the Sauces and remaining ingredients.

Use rotisserie chicken for ease or any cooked chicken you like in this recipe. Try Indian Chicken Salad with Avocado Green Chutney Dressing or Buttermilk Roast Chicken.

Shred or cut the Chicken to the size you like but don't make the pieces too large.

    Wraps

As tempting as it is, don’t add too much filling to the wraps. I can’t tell you the number of times I have done it. The wraps just end up falling apart.

    Cook Seam Side Down

Cook seam side down to begin with and hold them or put some weight on top of them.

    Storage

    Fridge

This chicken salad will last up to 3 - 5 days in the fridge.

The wraps made up will also keep for the same length of time.

    Freezer

The Chicken salad will keep well for up to 3 months in the freezer in an airtight container.

To use, allow the chicken to defrost or reheat gently in the fridge or microwave.

Add sauces and salad to wrap and continue with the rest of the recipe.
