Ingredients you'll need to make this Banana Date Smoothie

There are just a few ingredients in this delicious breakfast recipe. Here is what you need to make this healthy smoothie:

Bananas

Use  overripe bananas that are super sweet. They are full of natural sugars and give a creamy texture . You can use ripe fresh Bananas or a frozen Banana. Frozen Bananas make for a thicker texture.

Dates

Medjool Dates are what makes this Smoothie sweet and delicious. Medjool Dates have a natural sweetness, they are soft and easy to blend. Just make sure to pit them.

Rolled Oats

You can use any Oats here. Jumbo Oats, Rolled Oats or Porridge Oats.

Milk

You can use any Milk you like. Plant based milks work great such as  unsweetened almond milk, Oat Milk or Cashew milk.

Cocoa Powder

Use Unsweetened Cocoa Powder , Or Raw Cacao Powder for a rich chocolate flavor.

Spices

I like to add some Cinnamon and Cardamom. Both add some warmth.

Vanilla Extract/Vanilla Essence/Vanilla Bean Paste

This adds flavour but you can skip it.
