Ingredients for Air fryer Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

This is what you need to make it:

Butter

I used Salted Butter in this recipe but Unsalted also works. You will need to add a good pinch of Salt if you do. Make sure your butter is at room temperature.

Light Brown Sugar and Caster/White Sugar

We use a combination of both for crispy chewy edges and a soft gooey centre.

Plain Flour and Baking Powder

You can use Self Raising Flour and omit the Baking Powder.

Vanilla Extract

Adds flavour but it can be left out.

Oil and Water

This can be replaced with 1 Egg.

The reason I used Water mixed with Oil is because I have been asked a few times about how to make cookie dough eggless, and I wanted to show how easy it is to replace the Egg in this recipe.

Salt

A pinch of sea salt always elevates the flavour of baked goods.

Chocolate Chips

I used Milk Chocolate Chips. You can use a mixture of 3 Chocolate Chips. You can also add your favourite Chocolates or top with melted Nutella, Biscoff or Caramel.

Remove tin from inner pot.

Cookie dough with ice cream in tin

You can eat it directly from the tin immediately or leave it to set and harden for 20 minutes.

Tips to make this delicious treat!

  • Make sure your Butter is at room temperature. It makes it easier to mix the cookie dough.
  • Preheat the air fryer to ensure even cooking.
  • As with ovens and cooking time/bake time, air frying time can vary between different brands. I use the Ninja Foodi. For best results, start at least 11 minutes. It may take longer in your air fryer.

How to serve Cookie Dough

Serve with a scoop of ice cream.

Serve with a glass of milk.

How to make it in advance

Fridge

The cookie dough can be made up to 48 hours in advance.

Cook premade cookie dough from the fridge for 2-3 minutes more then the recipe suggests.

Freezer

It can also be frozen in 2 layers of cling film/plastic wrap and 1 layer of foil.

Place in a freezer bag or a freezer safe container and freeze for up to a month.

Let the dough come to room temperature for 15 minutes.

Cook frozen cookie dough for an additional 3 - 4 minutes from the freezer.

How to store leftover Cookie Dough

Once cooled, cover the tin with cling film or place in an airtight container and pop into the fridge.

This cookie dough is best eaten within 4 days.

To reheat, simply place in a microwave proof bowl and warm in 10 second bursts till gooey again.

FAQ’s

Can I make it in a different tin?

Yes it depends on the size of your air fryer. You can make it in any size tin you like as long as it fits in your air fryer. Just remember that smaller tins will need more time as the depth of the cookie dough is thicker.

How long should I cook cookie dough in an Air Fryer?

It takes 11 - 13 minutes to make Cookie Dough in the Air Fryer.

Variations

This recipe is quite easily adaptable. The easiest way to do this is to take out the chocolate chips and add your favourite alternative. Here are some suggestions:

Fancy a triple Chocolate Chip version - add 35g of White Chocolate, 35g Milk Chocolate and 35g Dark Chocolate Chips to the Dough.

A nutty version - Add chopped Nuts to the dough instead of the chocoalte chips.

Nutella version - Drizzle over some warmed Nutella.

To make a Pizookie version - Air fry the dough for 5 more minutes.
