    Easy Air Fryer Nachos

    Easy Air Fryer Nachos that are ready to eat in 10 minutes! These delicious comforting cheesy Nachos make the perfect snack for movie night.  Serve with your favourite toppings - Meat, Veg, Guacamole, Sour Cream, Jalapeños or enjoy them as they are!

    What’s great about this Recipe

    So easy to make - This is a recipe in which leftovers are welcome - Rotisserie Chicken? Chilli? Simple add to Nachos with whatever else you want to add and Air fry!

    Adaptable - There really is no end to variations here. Add your favourite flavours and enjoy!

    Ready in 10 minutes!

    Ingredients in easy air fryer Nachos

    Nachos - Such as Doritos. You can use plain or flavoured whatever your preference.

    Meat or Veg - Leftover Chilli, Pulled Chicken, Mince, Veg Chilli.

    Cheese – Use your favourite grated cheese.

    Veggies - Olives, Corn, Spring Onions, Jalapenos and whatever else you like. (Optional).

    Dips - Salsa, Sour Cream, Guacamole. (Optional).

    How to make Quick and Easy Air Fryer Nachos

    Add half the Nachos to Air Fryer.

    Top with half the Chlli and Cheese.

    Add more Nachos.

    Add remaining Chilli and Cheese.

    Air Fry at 180C for 3 - 5 minutes.

    Serve with your favourite toppings (See below for ideas).

    How to make Nachos in the Oven

    Preheat the oven to 200C/400 F.

    Layer Nachos on a lined oven tray. (I clearly forgot to line here).

    Top with your favourite toppings.

    Then add Chilli or Chicken or Veg.

    Top with grated Cheese.

    Bake for 5 - 10 minutes until the cheese has melted.

    How to make Nachos under the Grill

    Add Nachos to a lined tray.

    Top with Chilli, Veg or Chicken.

    Add Cheese.

    Heat the grill to medium.

    Place the Nachos under the grill and close the grill. Cook for 1-2 minutes or until the cheese has melted.

    Top with Sour cream and any other toppings you like.

    Top tips to make Easy Air Fryer Nachos

    Nachos cook really fast and the more flavoured they are, the quicker they tend to brown so keep an eye on them.

    Leftover Chilli, Veg Chilli, Black Beans and Rotisserie Chicken all work well as toppings.

    Make sure you overlap the Nachos so they cheese doesn't all drop through and out of the Air Fryer basket.

    Storage

    Nachos don't store well and can get soggy so it is best to make them just before serving.

    Reheating

    If you do have leftovers, reheat in the Air Fryer at 160 C for 2 - 3 minutes.

    Or place under the grill for 1 minute.

    Can I double the recipe?

    Yes you can but you will need to cook it in batches.

    Can this be made Gluten Free?

    Yes if you use GF Nachos.

    Best Cheese for Air Fryer Nachos?

    Any melty Cheese is great - Cheddar - Mature, Mexican or good options. Mozarella, Montery Jack, Fontina, Red Leicester work well too.

    Can these be made Vegetarian?

    Yes use Vegetarian Chilli, Refried Beans or Black Beans.

    How to make Chilli for Nachos

    If you don't have leftover Chilli and want to make a quick and easy version, I would suggest doing the following:

    Add Oil to a pot with ground Beef or Lamb and seasonings of choice such as Taco Seasoning or Indian Spices such as Cumin, Coriander, Chilli. Stir until no pink remains.

    Drain additional liquid, taste, adjust seasoning and cook for another 1 - 2 minutes.

    Ingredients

    • 180 g Nachos Plain, add more or less as you like
    • 350 - 400g Cooked leftover Beef or Lamb Chilli
    • 200 - 400 g Black Beans Drained, Optional
    • 150 g Cheddar Plain, Mature or Mexican

    Optional Extras

    • Sour Cream
    • Guacamole
    • Corn
    • Jalapenos Chopped
    • Tomatoes Diced
    • Spring Onions Sliced

    Instructions

    1. Preheat Air Fryer to 180 C/350 F. Set the timer for 5 minutes.

    2. Add half the Nachos to the Air Fryer Basket and top with half the Chilli and Cheese.

    3. Add the remaining Nachos and, Chilli and Cheese.

    4. Cook for 3 - 5 minutes.

    5. Top with optional extras and serve immediately.
